Multibiometric: Feature Level Fusion Using FKP Multi-Instance biometric
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper proposed the use of multi-instance feature level fusion as a means to improve the performance of Finger Knuckle Print (FKP) verification. A log-Gabor filter has been used to extract the image local orientation information, and represent the FKP features. Experiments are performed using the FKP database, which consists of 7,920 images. Results indicate that the multi-instance verification approach outperforms higher performance than using any single instance. The influence on biometric performance using feature level fusion under different fusion rules have been demonstrated in this paper.

Finger Multi-biometric Cryptosystem using Feature-Level Fusion
In this paper, we propose a new finger multi-biometric cryptosystem using feature-level fusion to simultaneously protect multiple templates of fingerprint, finger vein, finger knuckle print and finger shape traits as a single secure sketch. We theoretically analyze the featurelevel fusion for finger multi-biometric cryptosystem with respect to their impact on security and recognition accuracy. ...
متن کاملAn Analytical Study on integration of Multibiometric Traits at Matching Score Level using Transformation Techniques
Biometric is one of those egressing technologies which are exploited for identifying a person on the basis of physiological and behavioral characteristic. However, unimodal biometric system faces the problem of lack of individuality, spoof attacks, non-universality, degree of freedom etc., which make these systems less precise and erroneous. In order to overcome these problems, multi biometric ...
متن کاملK-means Based Multimodal Biometric Authentication Using Fingerprint and Finger Knuckle Print with Feature Level Fusion
In general, identification and verification are done by passwords, pin number, etc., which are easily cracked by others. To overcome this issue, biometrics has been introduced as a unique tool to authenticate an individual person. Biometric is a quantity which consists of individual physical characteristics that provide more authentication and security than the password, pin number, etc. Nevert...
متن کاملCancelable Fusion of Face and Ear for Secure Multi-Biometric Template
Biometric fusion to achieve multimodality has emerged as a highly successful new approach to combat problems of unimodal biometric system such as intraclass variability, interclass similarity, data quality, non-universality, and sensitivity to noise. The authors have proposed new type of biometric fusion called cancelable fusion. The idea behind the cancelable biometric or cancelability is to t...
متن کاملOptimal sequential fusion for multibiometric cryptosystems
Biometric cryptosystems have been widely studied in the literature to protect biometric templates. To ensure sufficient security of the biometric cryptosystem against the offline brute-force attack (also called the FAR attack), it is critical to reduce FAR of the system. One of the most effective approaches to improve the accuracy is multibiometric fusion, which can be divided into three catego...
